White Colour Black Screens at Black Film Festival Zurich

Black Film Festival Zurich celebrates the work of black filmmakers and focuses on films that have not yet made their way into Swiss theaters. It showcases work that takes an unconventional look at black experiences and allows new perspectives and understandings. By focusing on black narratives, it also challenges cinema’s overwhelming whiteness (see #OscarsSoWhite). In 2019, its inaugural year, the Black Film Festival Zurich will present 15 feature films, documentaries and short films that move, inspire, and invite viewers to broaden their gaze.
