Joseph at The New Black TV Collective Xpo Panel

Joseph joined The New Black TV Collective XPO 2024 with founder Priscilla Igwe, sitting for a ground breaking event celebrating Black filmmakers and storytellers from around the world.

The session centred on a discussion of Baloji’s Cannes Un Certain Regard winning debut feature ‘Omen’, and was a great opportunity to engage with a community interested in unpacking the themes of migration, family, and legacy.

The New Black Film Collective (TNBFC) exists to create and cultivate a vibrant Black ecosystem in the UK screen industries by championing Black-led film production, distribution, exhibition and preserving Black filmmaking and television.

They do this with a range of activities and events each year, many of which have partnership opportunities attached.

Joseph said: ‘I find the work that The New Black TV Collective is doing to be vitally important and I am delighted to be here.’
