One French Summer World Premieres at Raindance
One French Summer, Joseph’s new half hour short starring veteran actor James Smith (The Thick of It, The Favourite) had its world premiere at the 30th Raindance Film Festival.
Shot in France, One French Summer follows Christopher (Gabriel Winter) who returns to his childhood home in the South of France to visit his dying father, Richard (James Smith). Torn apart by Richard’s mistake, Christopher navigates the wreckage of their relationship, whilst forming a new bond with Richard’s carer Laurent (Robert Wilde).
The film screened to a sold out screening with four other films in the UK Shorts Programme at the Curzon Soho in Shaftsbury Avenue.
The screening was followed by a post screening Q&A featuring the five filmmakers whose diverse work celebrated the breadth of British Cinema.
